HA fires n8n webhooks when things happen (an NFC tag is scanned, a timer ends, a counter hits a threshold). n8n calls back into HA to move the physical world (lights, blinds, bots, speakers). For "wait until the human actually does it" moments, n8n uses a Wait node and stores its resume URL in an HA text helper — the house literally holds a bookmark to the paused workflow.
